Receive Salvation

7 Facts On How To Receive Salvation Through Jesus Christ

There are at least 7 facts that teach how to receive salvation through Jesus Christ in the Bible. Most people who profess to have salvation in Christ don’t have a clue what these even are! This is a huge problem, because there is no salvation without the truth.

The Author of salvation grants it by the truth. Receiving the truth is what makes salvation possible. Everything you need to know for salvation is provided below.

Now, if you can’t understand these 7 facts, then please feel free to ask your questions at the bottom of this page in the comment section.

Fact 1: You’re A Sinner!

The Bible says, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one … there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”

God offers salvation only through His truth. The Scripture is His truth written in the Holy Bible. Every fact listed below has support in the Bible by multiple Scriptures. In order to receive salvation, you must trust the Scriptures.

The first fact you need to know is there is none righteous. In case you don’t know what is meant by that, the Scripture is simply stating that we don’t naturally do anything good from God’s perspective. He does not accept any of our good deeds before salvation. The Bible says, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.”

When God views us as we are, He sees a person defiled by sin. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” This proves that from the eyes of God, we are all sinners.

When the first human being created disobeyed God, men became sinners. We involuntarily are sinners; it’s in our nature. The Bible says, “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners.” It’s because of our inherited sin nature that we cannot do anything good from God’s perspective.

No matter how hard we try to not sin, we still come short. We cannot fix ourselves by ourselves!

This is the first fact you should understand to receive salvation: You’re a sinner, and there’s nothing you can do in yourself to change that.

Fact 2: You’re Punishment Is Hell!

The Bible says in Romans: “For the wages of sin is death…” This means sin has consequences. Death is the consequence of sin. Even the good things we do still has negative consequences before salvation.

There is no escaping death. We’re all guilty of sin; therefore, a death sentence is passed upon all of us. The Bible says, “Wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

God’s death sentence is something we all deserve. It’s our “wages” for being sinners. God has no choice but to punish you with death because of your sin.

We all die, but the Bible speaks of a second death. The second death is when people enter into a state of everlasting punishment (Matt 25:46). This punishment occurs in a place of everlasting fire (Matt 25:41). The Scripture labels this place as “The Lake of Fire” (Revelation 20:14-15).

The Bible says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

There are different types of people mentioned above. Some are sceptics, some are immoral, some worship false gods, and some are liars. However, what they all have in common is hell! They are all going to hell to suffer forever. This is the second death.

Only certain people will not experience the second death, keep reading and see how you can become one of those people…

Fact 3: God Loves You!

You are a sinner; therefore, you deserve to go to hell as punishment. God is righteous and just, so if He failed to punish you, He would forfeit those attributes. You would also ruin His perfect place called Heaven, which is where His elect go.

Today, you’ll learn how to become one of those certain people who will not go to hell…

God does not actually want you to go to hell; therefore, He did something for you two thousand years to prevent that. The Bible says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

The Scripture teaches that the consequence of sin is death, and the punishment is hell. You’re a sinner; therefore, God is just in inflicting such a punishment. However, the Bible says that someone has already died for you! What this means is someone died in your place; you don’t have to go to hell! You’re now eligible to receive salvation through Jesus Christ.

Fact 4: Salvation Is Only In Jesus Christ

The Bible says, “Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” This is a reference to Jesus Christ.

There are two primary qualifications that Jesus met to make us salvation worthy: First, He was God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). Second, He Himself had no sin nature as God’s Son, making Him able to be sinless (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Like us, Jesus had a earthly mother, but His Father was God in Heaven (Matthew 1:23). Therefore, our punishment of death can justly be put to His account. Only God can make you fit for Heaven, and He will only do that through His Son.

Fact 5: Christ Suffered For You!

In reference to Jesus Christ, the Bible says, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Jesus was put to death as an innocent man, but He had to die in order to take away our sins. He was crucified two thousand years ago, bearing our sins on a tree. This is something that cannot ever be undone. He already died for you and took your punishment upon Himself.

The Bible even states that he went to Hell in the center of the Earth (Acts 2:31, Ephesians 4:9). I mention this, because I feel it’s important to understand what Jesus actually did for us.

Fact 6: Christ Resurrected From The Grave!

The Bible says, “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

Eternity is nothing to gamble on; you need to know the truth. Are you ready to get serious about where you’ll spend eternity?

The Bible teaches that Jesus was put to death, but after three days and three nights, He resurrected from the grave! The resurrection of Jesus Christ makes salvation possible, because without that, you could never be free from sin (1 Corinthians 15:17). Also, if Christ did not come back to life, there would be no hope for us. However, there is hope for us, because He rose again the third day.

Fact 7: Salvation Is A Free Gift!

Looking back at our verse that shows sin earns us death, we also see hope of salvation. The Verse says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Salvation is a free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Eternal life is forever. Therefore, salvation is forever! It’s important that you see that.

The Bible says, “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.”

We have the opportunity to receive salvation because of God’s Son. We were condemned to death, but God sent His Son to die in our place! God can now grant us life because of Jesus’ sacrifice of Himself. This is what Christians call grace.

Concerning grace, the Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

Receiving salvation through Jesus Christ is something we do in faith apart from works. If you want salvation it must be entirely in Christ by grace through faith. Faith is not a work. We can never earn salvation, but we can receive it freely through faith!

Believe With All Your Heart!

Did you know that knowing all of these facts will not get you into Heaven? Some people know the truth and go to hell. The Bible proves this by saying: “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven.”

What’s God’s will? It’s that you believe on His Son. The Bible says, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

There was a man in the Bible, desiring to receive salvation through Jesus Christ, who asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” The Apostle correctly responded, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”

I urge you friend to do that now. The Bible says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” And then a few verses later it says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Receiving salvation through Jesus Christ requires faith. This faith must come from a persuasion of the truth. If you are confident that Jesus Christ died for you, and He was raised from the dead, then you are ready to receive salvation in Him.

The Bible says what you need to do now is trust Him to save you, which is begins by asking. Below is a simple prayer to pray out loud to God in faith to receive salvation through Jesus Christ.

Call Upon The Name Of The Lord

O Lord, I know I’m a sinner. I know I deserve Hell. I believe Jesus Christ died for me. And I believe with all my heart that He arose from the dead. I ask you to save me right now and give me everlasting life. I believe in Jesus Christ, and I trust you to save me. Amen!
